Canned Peaches in Light Syrup (Full Recipe)

A classic, sweet, juicy preserve you can enjoy all year.


🍑 Ingredients (for 4 jars – 500 ml each)

For the Peaches

  • 8–10 ripe peaches (about 2 kg)

  • 1–2 tbsp lemon juice (to prevent browning)

  • Cold water (for soaking)

For the Syrup

Choose your sweetness level:

Light Syrup

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 4 cups water

Medium Syrup (more classic)

  • 1½ cups sugar

  • 4 cups water

Heavy Syrup (very sweet & dessert-style)

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 4 cups water
